Chicken! It looks like nobody is willing to venture a guess, expose a dream, admit uncertainty, or show unhappiness with life expectations. Well maybe everyone is content. That is good too. They say what a person does not know will not hurt them. But that statement is a two-edged sword. If you have never experienced a wealthy type life style, you will not miss it in your present circumstances. But if you have seen how the other 5% live chances are your present circumstances appear crummy. Why else is everyone chasing after more when they have more than enough? In the end, you can't take it with you. Just about every sales letter asks the reader if they want more time with their families and loved ones... Nobody ever asks if the reader wants a business that can balance his life to include time with God and family. Also many affiliate programs stick you in a vice and force you to buy now or "never see this offer again". Anything to part you from your money and put it into their pocket. In Luke 16:13 it states that if you love money, you will not love God. This is a truism. If you are chasing after business all day how much time do you spend building your relationship with God and living His life style? Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want... As I said in a previous post, we are created social beings. We also need to build our backbone, character through our relationship with Jesus Christ and strenghthening it on our fellow man, so that we can stand when all our trappings are stripped from us. And don't think that cannot happen! But let's assume you are truly Christ-oriented and have a balanced life with a character that seeks to emmulate Jesus, then there is a fantastic future awaiting you. Money is only worldly power, but being in Jesus Christ is universal power. Here is the other edge of this sword. If you knew for certain that your future through Jesus Christ wields more power than the greatest power on earth now, would you not hanker for it? In Romans 5:1 Paraphrased Paul says that all (humanity) is justified through faith, and therefore at peace with God vs.10 that all are reconciled to God through the death of Jesus and saved through Jesus' life. It does not matter who or what you are. But until you seek to understand and make a personal decision for Christ you will not experience the relationship that would catapult you to the highest powers of the universe. Here is a tiny glimpse that you can think about: There are two almost identical verses in the bible, one in the old testament and one in the new. The old represents the here and now, and the new is the future. Old Testament: (King James version throughout) New Testament: The old testament verses are quite self-explanatory. It explains what all things are put under man's dominion in verses 7 and 8. When you think about the time during which King David lived, and he is the one who makes this statement, this is quite true. The new testament also talks about all things being placed under man's dominion, but qualifies that statement as not being complete. If you noticed, at least 2 things were left out in the first statement, space and other dimensions. In the second statement it simply says that ALL things were put under man's dominion, except we cannot see it yet. Remember all of mankind is saved, forgiven, reconciled to God through Jesus' death. So continue in Hebrews 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth (sets apart) and they who are sanctified (set apart) are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren... In other words, by allowing Jesus Christ to live in us through the Holy Spirit we become one with Christ and his brethren. That also means that we will inherit God's promises to Jesus with him. Jesus Christ is God and was destined to be king and priest over everything he made. John 1:1- tells about Jesus, the god who made everything that was made and who lowered himself to experience human life and die for all humanity so it could be reconciled to God. In Hebrews it explains how he was made perfect by experiencing every anguish humans feel. He became our perfect advocate. And if we believe in him and follow him, we will get to live with him in another dimension. Toward the end of Hebrews it says that the triunal God (God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit) will cause a consuming fire to burn up everything that is physical and lift up Jesus' brethren into the family of God. We will be like Christ is now, resurrected, immortal, powerful, in another dimension. He "will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body" (Philippians 3:21). If we have been united with Christ in this life, "we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection" (Romans 6:5). "We shall be like him," John assures us (1 John 3:2). Can you envision ruling somewhere in all the universes as a god? How is our life puny in the face of grandeur to come. That is not to say we cannot make money in this life. But greed must die. We are expected to use our talents. Mathew 25:14-30 tells the parable of the kingdom of God, how we all are given talents and need to work with these talents to gain more or we are not fit for the kingdom of God. Yes this could mean literal gifts we have, talents to be developed and used in growing in grace and knowledge, but can also be applied in business, in growing the money we are given, whether through labour, inheritance, gift, whatever. We can't just sit on it. We are expected to make a living, but with the guidance of God. Go see if it is so: Find a bible online and read these chapters yourself or here is access to the New World Translation. Well...? I do try to find worthwhile businesses for you to join. Something to help you, not rip you off. Now have a great day! It looks like nobody is willing to venture a guess, expose a dream, admit uncertainty, or show unhappiness with life expectations. Well maybe everyone is content. That is good too. They say what a person does not know will not hurt them.
