A Hateful Excercise: Losing Weight

For many people losing weight is as fierce a struggle as it is for others to stop smoking, overcoming alcohol, or other drug addiction. Perhaps it is worse, because a person cannot just stop taking nourishment altogether. Staying on the wagon with less or different foods becomes a daily war with craving appetite aroused by smells and even seeing others enjoy what one can't.

Doctors recommend appetite supressors, bulking agents to make one feel full, drinking lots of water, cutting out all the things that make food taste good, like butter. One cannot have sweets unless poisoned by artificial sugar substitutes, or high carbohydrate foods, like cake, cookies etc. One may also be cautioned to eat differently by combining certain food types and not others or eating foods only suited to your blood type. And of course there are the mono-diets where you stick to one food, and excercise beyond your daily activities....

Then this lady doctor comes walzing in with her good news that all of the above is not really necessary to lose weight! In fact she is adamant that routine bowel and liver cleanses with herbs and other natural formulas she has developed will help you shed unwanted fat like butter melting in the sun.

Dr. Suzanne Gudakunst hales from Arizona. She discovered in her practice that obese patients had an unrecognized problem with plaque from improperly digested foods and parasites in the bowel which caused them to remain cronically overweight. When she applied her carefully crafted formulas to rid these patients of mucoid plaque and parasites, patients lost weight and improved their overall health. She considers inefficient intestinal tracts storing unexpelled residues to be the scourge of many diseases.

The medical community is again in an uproar. There have been and are quite a few healers who have similar views to Dr. Gudakunst but they are all in the naturopathic community which is little regarded by the primary recognized medical doctors.

In the past naturopaths have advocated enemas, herbal, and other digestive tract and organ cleansing practises. This is not new, but MD's and researchers claim that there is no basis in these natural cleanses. In fact they claim there may be more harm than good. They are not willing to really study this issue clinically.

The World Health Organization recognizes and respects traditional medicine as practised for hundreds of years by the peoples of other countries and cultures. For example in Chinese traditional medicine liver and colon detoxing plays a major role in weight loss and is a common treatment in the war on obesity. Famous iridologist, chiropractor and naturopath Bernard Jensen believed from constant application of cleanses that he was on the right path. He became convinced that 90% of diseases begin in the colon. For weight loss cleanses were a must. Some natural medicine healers recommend a cleanse before weight loss.

However most weight loss efforts once completed do not have lasting effect. Our diets are mostly unnatural with chemicals and minimal or missing nutrients in deficient foods. No vitamin-mineral supplement is ever correct for every individual. When it comes to losing weight where are we now?

Dr. Gudakunst has come along with her own cleanse kit composed of all natural ingredients extracted from wild and cultivated herbs combined in certain proportions and ways to banish obesity forever.

All you people who spam my blog with drug ads: No, I don’t understand. I am sick of drugs, drugs to make you lose appetite, get fat, lose fat, get rid of hangovers, help you get hangovers, go crazy, get addicted…. get my drift? It is all this crap that gets one sick by appearing to get rid of one sickness and then piling on another. We are a sick society, physically and mentally. Yes, it is no fun to diet, and I now know the good doctor: the lady on my front page, is right. I am not dieting but losing weight.
